This week, we hope to survive long enough to hear Final Conflict, The Weirdos, 7Seconds, Municipal Waste, Crucifix, Discharge, Strung Out, Disfear, and more! This is no false alarm, as Citizen Matt bombards your ears with a heat-seeking punk assault that will have you ducking and covering...with delight! Too soon?
International Blasphemy Day! This week we listen to Poison Idea, The Damned, The Quintessentials, Minor Threat, Dwarves, Slave to Reality, NOFX, Discharge, Heart Attack, A Global Threat, and more! Join Citizen Matt as he spins a set that would have "1980's-style concerned parents" making awful VHS tapes about searching your bedroom. It's nothing but good old fashioned anti-theist punk angst. Relive your "first phase", and crank that volume!
“Har har har…har har har…”
Pull out your sunglasses, lather up with sunscreen, and make those beers extra cold! MBR this week is…gasp….OUTSIDE! Braving the intense heat (HA!) of the Scandinavian sun up on the rooftop of Ingram Towers to bring you the first ever outside broadcast. It’s like Wimbledon, only without the tennis and strawberries. Or rich toffs. This week there’s a special guest on the show - you’ll guess who it is before the first 2 minutes go by - and we bring you a plethora of bands running the gauntlet, several sweet selections of our own, and a few fly-bys from some choppers and swallows. But let’s not sink down to genital jokes…again…let’s get on with it! This week you’ll get DENNER/SHERMAN, PHOBIA, MASSIVE ASSAULT, MORBID CRUCIFICTION, MY OWN GRAVE, NADI, GRIM LEGION, FUNERAL WHORE, ESTUARY, DR KNOW, VADER, SACRILEGE BC, MUNICIPAL WASTE, VEKTOR, WHIPLASH, IMPALED NAZERENE, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, and DISCHARGE.
“…a bit like religion really.”
Dave alone on this one, since the boys couldn’t match up their schedules. Not a problem, as it’s another eclectic choice of Metal, Rock, and outright heaviness. Less chat and chin-waggery means more music for your moolah. How can we continue explaining how awesome this episode is? We can’t. So bloody listen to it. You’re getting ECHO THE FALLEN, VENOM, LOST SOUL, RED FANG, URSINNE, JUST BEFORE DAWN, DISCHARGE, DOWN AMONG THE DEAD MEN, SLADE, WHITESNAKE, TED NUGENT, IRON MAIDEN, HELLBASTARD, ANTHRAX, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, INFERNAL MAJESTY, PAGANIZER, HENRY KANE, AKATHARTA, GATH, MEMORIAM, BENEDICTION, ENTOMBED, DEATH, and KISS.
“That’s it. Bugger off…”
It’s the end, but the moment has been rubbished repeatedly. Almost the saddest episode we’ve ever released (except for that Necrogod one) as this is Donovan’s last. At least until he rears his ugly head again, and heads his ugly rear back to Copenhagen for a bit of a lash up. Since he’s saying Sod Off we let him choose a bunch of rubbish, and also bring out a few of the old classic flassics for old timey-wimey’s sake. No tears, just beers.
Now piss off and don’t come back.
On this you’ll hear the audible atrocities that are TERROR 2000, CONSTRUCDEAD, DEATH BREATH, FACE DOWN, LEGION OF THE DAMNED, CARNAL FORGE, DARKANE, IN OTHER CLIMES, KILLING GANDHI, GRAVEYARD SHIFTERS, AGENT ORANGE, THOR, G.B.H., VENOM, ENGLISH DOGS, DOWN AMONG THE DEAD MEN, GWAR, DISCHARGE and BOLT THROWER.
“…I’m quite cross!!!”
Donovan’s tenure on the show is close to an end. At least, as close as his rubbish can ever be. So this show is mostly his choices, and it causes some confusion, anger and drunkeness - though the latter may be because we had recorded 3 shows in one day, and we had overindulged greatly. If you need to know, then we had these folks on the show: BANISHED, HOLY HELL, SORCERY, RAMMING SPEED, BROKEN HOPE, BRUTALITY, ATHEIST, ENGLISH DOGS, IMMOLATION, G.B.H., NOCTURNUS, DISCHARGE, UNLEASHED, FEAR, CORONER, CLETIC FROST, LITTLE RICHARD and AMEBIX.
